At the Desk of Emilio Marín

Emilio Marín, born 1972 in born in Concepción, Chile, operates today as an architect founding his office in Santiago in 2005. Marín's office specializes in various fields of contemporary architecture: private commissions, public projects and art installations.

Marín's  approach to projects led by his office is based on the collaborative association with other offices from different areas of the professional discipline, an approach that yields a unique and diverse method of production. He is also the founder of Public Library, an independent publisher that focuses on the creation and dissemination of its own material along with the work of other artists.

Public Library is an independent publishing house based in Santiago, Chile, that publishes the work of artists, photographers and designers (friends and foes alike). Founded in 2008 by Emilio Marín and Diego Córdova, Cristobal Palma joined the team in 2010.

Emilio Marín was recently selected by ICON Magazine in their list of 20 architects from around the world who are building the future.
